WEICON DF 175 is a patented sealing yarn made of 100% PTFE, intended for permanent and secure sealing of almost all metal and plastic threads. During installation the yarn reliably fills the gaps in the thread and forms a PTFE film of precisely the required thickness, thereby ensuring long-lasting and leak-tight sealing.


The formed PTFE film is extremely resistant to almost all chemicals, including aggressive solvents, alkalis and acids. The product is non-flammable and reliably functions across an extremely wide temperature range from -200 °C to +240 °C.


Unlike classic sealing solutions where the carrier material is only a substrate for the sealant, in WEICON DF 175 the PTFE yarn itself is also the sealing material. This completely eliminates the possibility of material separation during the service life of the joint. The seal remains permanent, soft and elastic, without aging or loss of properties.


WEICON DF 175 has an unlimited shelf life and is an extremely economical solution – one roll replaces up to 20 rolls of classic PTFE tape (12 mm × 0.1 mm × 12 m), making it an ideal choice for professional and industrial use.
